Many leather enthusiasts dream of having Natuzzi leather furniture. Known for it's excellent craftsmanship, the Italian company, which was founded in 1959 by Pasquale Natuzzi, is often thought to be one of the absolute best at producing luxury leather furniture. In it's 50 years of making leather furniture, it has made a very good name for itself, being showcased in home stores in the major cities of the world.
The company focuses in creating armchairs, sofas, and other living room pieces. Their main material is called natural leather, which is processed without changing the original characteristics of the hide. Some customers don't like this because they can see the differences in grain from one cushion to another, as well as the slight difference in color shades. The wrinkles, veining, and healed scars sustained by the hide are also left on the finished product, giving it a rugged but elegant look.
Because of the way their product is made, Natuzzi recommends a certain cleaning method for their leather. First, they suggest brushing the pieces with a soft bristled brush or using a vacuum cleaner on the medium setting, making sure not to rub too hard. This should get rid of any dirt or dust that has settled on to the leather. Wiping with a microfiber cloth is also another way to clean the pieces.
If the piece is quite dirty or for it's annual cleaning, the company recommends using their specialized cleaner and conditioning kit. Alternatively, they also suggest using a neutral soap diluted with water and using a dry soft cloth to apply the mixture a little at a time. However, if the cleaner used is not endorsed by the company, the warranty of the piece becomes void.
Stains should be removed quickly with a non-abrasive cloth or with paper towels, making sure not to press down on the stained area so that the stain does not set. Then, using a soft microfiber cloth that has been wet, rub on the stain starting from the outside and working towards the center in a circular motion. As soon as this is done, it should be wiped dry with another cloth. Greasy stains should be removed the same way, except the cloth should be soaked in soapy water.
Though Natuzzi leather furniture gets mixed reviews, like all leather furniture, caring for it is usually the best way to make it last a long time. It's one of the few leather furniture companies in the world that creates its pieces from natural leather, making each piece quite unique and really beautiful. Buying a Natuzzi is an excellent investment that you are sure to enjoy for years to come.
